DEFINITION: Interjections are brief and abrupt pauses in speech, usually used for expressing emotions.
Example: Oh! That feels terrible. Alas! They have lost the match.

An interjection is a word that expresses some sudden feeling. Interjections are brief and abrupt pauses in speech, usually used for expressing emotions.

The part of speech that expresses a strong feeling or sudden emotion or emotion is called interjection or exclamation. Generally interjections were used in exclamatory sentences and take notes of exclamation as punctuation.
