5. Reporting a Question
When reporting a question, ensure the
question ends with a period rather than a question
mark.
EXAMPLE:
The reporter asked, "Why no one has been arrested?" (direct question)
The reporter asked why no one has been arrested. (indirect question)
EXAMPLE:
The reporter asked, "Why no one has been arrested?" (direct question)
The reporter asked why no one has been arrested. (indirect question)
