INDIRECT SPEECH
There are two ways to report what a person says: Direct speech and Indirect speech. In Direct speech, we use the exact words that someone says with the use of quotation marks. In Indirect speech, we report what someone says without using their exact words. We don't use quotation marks with indirect speech, but we have to change the pronouns and the tense of the verb. |
Our program will take you through the basics of English grammar, giving you a foundation for further learning. Writing and grammar skills are essential in any line of work, at any age, and for any reason. Words, thought, spoken, and written, help focus and define activity, clearing away the noise of the day.
